Planning permission was granted on 20 January 2000 for a detached three bedroom bungalow. The foundations were laid but the development was never completed. As a ‘material start’ was made on the building the planning consent remains extant. Planning reference 99/00466/FUL, details of which are available on request. Claddach is a traditional crofting community situated approximately 10 miles from Lochmaddy, which is one of the ferry port for the Uists. Claddach is also 20 miles from the Berneray Ferry, which links the Uists to Harris.
